Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa
• At least 1 year of recent acute-care Registered Nurse experience
• Medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical judgment skills
• Willingness to complete required health, safety, compliance, and competency documentation before onboarding

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and other indicators of patient status
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical standards
• Identify changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate care team members
• Collaborate with providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective patient care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans
