Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MS/Tele nursing team. This position involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work night shifts, float to similar units as required, and will participate in weekend coverage every other weekend, with flexibility based on departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage patient care using the Omnicell medication system.
• Perform bedside procedures including dialysis catheter insertion, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D) as needed.
• Provide care to patients post-heart catheterization.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing setting.
• Must have at least one year of experience with the EPIC electronic health record system.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 3x12 night shift schedule from 1900 to 0730, with no block scheduling. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, subject to change based on patient care needs.

Additional Information

The role may require floating to similar units as needed, providing the opportunity to gain experience across different areas of the nursing department.
