Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,971 per week in Wilmington, NC

Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio typically 1:5-6. Weekend requirement of 12-16 shifts per contract. Floating to other units as needed.

• Comprehensive Med/Surg and Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric populations
• Electronic Medical Record system: Epic; medication dispensing via Pyxis
• 24-hour orientation with structured onboarding and hospital-wide classes during first week
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and phlebotomy
• Up to 7 days approved time off per contract (must work 2 of 3 major holidays)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Current North Carolina RN license or Compact state license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in Med/Surg and Telemetry skills including remote monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, wound care, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with colostomy care, feeding tube management, hemodialysis management, central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, IV starts, Heparin and PCA protocols
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability and willingness to serve on Storm/Hurricane Team; may be required to report during catastrophic events or disasters
