Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) to join our dynamic team. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients in various medical conditions, including those in isolation due to COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor vital signs and manage patient care in a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication.
• Participate in the care of patients requiring multi-level care, including stepdown services.
• Be prepared to work within Storm and Hurricane Teams during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters.
• Participate in daily classes and complete a 24-hour unit orientation to familiarize with protocols and procedures.
• Float to other units as required and adhere to weekend work schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Charge experience is preferred.
• Must successfully pass EKG Testing prior to the start date for this specialty.

Work Schedule

The position involves 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Contracts for 36 or 48 hours per week are accepted, with the possibility of longer contracts available through February 2026.

Dress Code

Scrubs must be navy in color.
