Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,980 per week in Wilmington, NC

The unit accepts travelers, including those on their first assignment. Nights shifts are from 18:45 to 07:15. Ratios are 1:6. Contract options for 13-20 weeks are available. The traveler may be required to float as needed. The weekend requirement is every other weekend. Call requirements are not applicable. The contract staff may be assigned to work during a catastrophic event or disaster. Patient diagnoses include conditions such as diabetes, dementia, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, and renal failure, among others. Relevant skills include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and wound care. Preferred skills include ACLS certification and experience with electronic documentation. Clinical tasks include hemodialysis management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV maintenance, and airway management. Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and infection control is necessary. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. Must be able to work holidays and have a maximum of 7 days of requested time off. No block scheduling is allowed, except for weekend blocks.
