TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of two years of recent relevant experience License: Active VA or Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Proficiency in Epic charting - Previous travel experience required - Fully pre-closed and comfortable with patient ratios of 1:7 - Ability to work every other weekend, float, and holidays within the contract Description: This position involves providing post-operative care for patients following orthopedic, bariatric, and colorectal surgeries. The unit specializes in caring for level III trauma patients and managing medical-surgical overflow as needed. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The nurse will utilize advanced equipment and procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Patient care will include telemetry monitoring of up to eight patients simultaneously. The typical daily census on the unit is 28 patients. Nurses will be expected to participate in community support services and provide comprehensive patient education. Candidates must have experience with blood product administration, central line management, and various respiratory support techniques. Teamwork and effective communication skills are essential in this dynamic environment. All applicants must have a clean license and background record.
