The patient population primarily consists of adults and geriatrics with diverse medical needs including palliative care and psychiatric observation. Responsibilities include managing various patient conditions such as diabetes, surgical patients, and end-of-life care. Travelers are expected to float to different units if necessary. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are essential. The nurse must pass an EKG exam during onboarding, which is a requirement for this role. BLS certification is mandatory, and familiarity with BiPAP/CPAP management, wound care, and telemetry is essential.
