• Setting: 46-bed surgical unit with telemetry and overflow medical/cardiac patients

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,870

• Additional Notes: Travel nursing assignment; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or telemetry nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Comfortable managing patient ratios of approximately 1:5-6, with potential increases based on unit needs
• Willingness to float to similar medical-surgical or telemetry units as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be able to work within established compliance and professional standards

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
• Care for post-operative, trauma surgery, abdominal surgery, bariatric surgery, amputation, and urologic patients
• Support overflow medical and cardiac patients on a busy surgical unit
• Administer medications, assess patient status, and coordinate care plans
• Manage IVs, lines, drains, oxygen therapy, and other common telemetry unit interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, efficient patient care
• Document accurately in the electronic health record and maintain strong clinical communication
