Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; Oregon RN license may be pending at submission
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience within the last 3 years
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and monitor dysrhythmias
- BLS certification through AHA required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Ability to support every-other-weekend coverage
- Comfortable floating within scope as needed
- Strong clinical skills in oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions
- Ability to respond quickly in urgent situations and collaborate with rapid response teams
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients with varying acuity levels
- Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Manage patients requiring cardiac, insulin, or heparin infusions within scope
- Perform accurate computerized documentation in Epic
- Support oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care
- Maintain infection prevention standards, including isolation precautions and PPE use
- Activate rapid response resources when clinically indicated
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to deliver safe, patient-centered care
- Adapt to changing patient needs and float within scope when required
