Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,996 per week in Greensboro, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Must work 2 out of 4 holidays. Float required if needed. Traveler will be required to pass an EKG exam during onboarding. EPIC charting experience required. Description: Posted as Med-Surg/Telemetry due to EKG requirement for all RNs and tele capable unit. The patient population will be primarily Med-Surg. 3 shifts of 12 hours each, days from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, every other weekend. All travelers are subject to float across all facilities as needed. Previous charge RN experience is preferred. The patient population includes observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, palliative care, end of life and hospice patients, psychiatric observation, and surgical patients. Travelers are required to manage various patient conditions including new diabetics and patients with complications related to diabetes. Key skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, and wound care. Travelers must be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs and managing telemetry patients. All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with two attempts allowed. Modules for onboarding may vary in hours and are non-billable. Travelers must have no open cases on background checks. Local candidates within a specified radius cannot be considered for this position. A current driver's license is required to verify address.
