Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Inpatient Nursing experience required Minimum of 6 months of Telemetry experience required Minimum of 6 months of Travel Nurse experience required Med Surg Telemetry experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district required Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS required Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required BSN highly desired Description: Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret it in terms of patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments within the time frame established, according to policy and procedures.
