**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Unit:** Med/Surg Tele
- **Shift:** 7 PM - 7:30 AM
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36
- **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend
- **Experience Required:** 2+ years
**Unit Information:**
- **Number of Beds:** 36
- **Patient Ratios:** 5:1 & 6:1 (day shift includes frequent admissions & discharges)
- **Equipment Utilized:**
- Baxter IV pumps
- Omnicell
- JP & Hemovac Drains
- Ostomy Care
- NG Tubes
- Tube Feeding
- PEG Tubes
- **Electronic Health Record (EHR):** MedHost
- **Manager:** Tracy Hall, RN, CEN, Med-Surg/Float Manager
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide exemplary care to a diverse patient population ranging from age 18 to geriatric
- Communicate effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Float to provide support as needed
**Must-Have Skills/Experience:**
- Proficient in IVs, NGs, PICC & Central Line Care
- Catheter Care
- Post-op surgical care, including total knee & hip replacements, hernia repairs, and colectomies
**Preferred Skillset/Experience:**
- Foley catheter insertion
- Telemetry monitoring
- Tube feeding services
- Experience with stroke patients and post-op care
**Common Diagnoses/Treatments:**
- Total Joint Replacement
- General Surgery patients
- COPD, Diabetes, Dementia
- Dialysis, Stroke, NSTEMI, CHF, A-Fib

**Education Requirements:**
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
