Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certification required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpreting EKG strips
• Experience with insulin drips preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using the nursing process
• Complete ongoing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and verify strips each shift
• Administer medications and manage common Med/Surg Tele therapies
• Care for patients with wounds, PICC lines, central lines, and wound vacs
• Support patients receiving BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and nasal cannula therapy
• Manage drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin as ordered
• Collaborate with support staff, phlebotomy, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families while promoting comfort, safety, and recovery
