Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Description: 2S Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse. Locals within 60 miles are accepted. Candidates will not be rotated between day and night shifts in the same week. Candidates must have experience in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Orthopedic care experience is preferred. Experience in orthopedics, including trauma and total joint replacements, is desired. Candidates should have skills in blood product administration, central line care, feeding tube management, and IV management. Weekend coverage is required every other week. Scrubs are not provided; scrub color is ceil blue. The facility has a daily census of 12 patients with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Special procedures include total joint replacements, spine surgeries, abdominal surgeries, urologic procedures, and general medicine. Candidates must provide two supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience in the last 3 years. No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, and all RTO must be included at the time of submission. Candidates must pass all compliance requirements before starting.
