Schedule: Every other weekend required; Float pool assignment

Requirements:

• Valid Michigan RN License (active and in good standing)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required
• Ability to work in a float pool capacity across multiple units
• Strong commitment to attendance and schedule reliability

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and monitor condition changes throughout hospital stay
• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications including IV therapy; manage wound care and specialized equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and discharge instructions
• Recognize early signs of medical deterioration and take swift action to stabilize patients
