Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights eow, nights, first to float Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract. Description: Travelers may float to a sister facility if needed. Candidates must provide a valid driver's license at the time of application. Clinicians must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing a contract. If a clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be disqualified for 6 months from reapplying. Candidates must be located within a 50-mile radius. Candidates must not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN with any affiliate in the past year. A pass/fail simulation lab is required on the first day. The unit has 16 beds and averages a specific number of cases daily. Weekend work is required in rotation with core staff. Holiday work is also required. The unit provides telemetry services, but does not handle vents. An IV team is not present on the unit, but pharmacy operates 24/7. Shifts are divided into 7a-7p and 7p-7a. Floating to like facilities is required as needed. Floor-specific orientation lasts 2 days. Common procedures and types of patients include telemetry and post-surgical cases. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. Charting is conducted using a specific system. A BSN degree is not required. This position involves working in an acute care setting. Weekend and holiday work is mandatory.
