Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,050 to $2,250 per week in Waterloo, IA

• Position: Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry
• Location: Waterloo
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Night Shift
• Schedule: 3×12
• Experience Required: 1 Year
• Weekly Pay:$2050 to $2250

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions
• Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor patient status and cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Interpret telemetry monitoring data and promptly communicate significant rhythm changes to the healthcare team
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Follow infection prevention guidelines, patient safety standards, and hospital quality protocols
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting recovery and positive patient outcomes

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
