Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,056 per week in Farmington, NM

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Med/Surg experience preferred. Description: This position requires a skilled registered nurse to work in a medical-surgical telemetry unit. The facility is a level III trauma center with comprehensive medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services. The nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses and treatments include cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive heart failure. The patient ratios are generally 1:5 to 1:6. Equipment utilized includes vital signs machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps. The electronic health record system used is Cerner. Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required. Oncology skills are helpful but not necessary. Candidates should possess an associate degree in nursing.
