Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,078 per week in Batavia, NY

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience preferred Telemetry experience preferred Epic charting experience preferred Description: This is a 34-bed unit with a staffing ratio of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT per 9 patients. All shifts require floating to other medical/surgical units. Weekend coverage is every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month. The unit primarily cares for surgical patients, including hip, knee, and shoulder replacements. General surgery cases such as appendectomies, exploratory laparotomies, and hernias are also common. The unit treats a range of patients from adolescents to the elderly, and includes medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. This unit is equipped with wall suction, allowing for the treatment of patients requiring suction. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams. All staff must be proficient in various skills including telemetry monitoring, wound care, and management of dysrhythmias.
