Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a Med/Surg Overflow Unit focusing on post-surgical observation. This role provides essential care to patients recovering from surgery and those requiring observation to ensure optimal recovery and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg Overflow Unit.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in the transition to team nursing, including working alongside Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
• Provide education to patients and families about recovery processes and wellness strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Med/Surg or similar unit.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience is required.
• Current RN licensure in compliance with NLC guidelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively within a team-focused environment.

Working Conditions

• Shift: Night (3x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:00).
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:6/7.
• Weekend shifts may be required as needed.
• No block scheduling available, although weekend blocks may be considered.
