Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years acute care hospital experience License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float to multiple units Description: Responsible for cardiac monitoring and reading telemetry strips. Experience with cardiac drips required. Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas. Telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips, is essential. Must have TR Band experience. Clinician to patient ratio on nights is up to 6:1. Care for patients in emergency departments and acute mental health units. Assist in caring for non-vented patients who are transfer ready from the ICU. Units range from 8 to 41 beds. Days and evenings rotation with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract. Charting system in use is EPIC.
