Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical Surgical/Telemetry License: Current RN license in Arizona required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Valid Arizona RN license BLS and NIHSS certifications must be current and cannot expire within 30 days of start Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience Experience with EPIC charting system Description: The position requires floating within the scope of practice. You will be assigned to a team nursing model with a LPN + RN team nursing ratio of 8:1. The traveler must be agreeable to floating to a sister facility if necessary. An open book EKG test will be administered at orientation. All certifications must be valid and current. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 6-8 during the night shift. The daily census in the unit is usually around 34 patients. Interdisciplinary support is provided by physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Special procedures and care for patients may include telemetry monitoring and wound care. Travel experience is required for this position. Supervisory references will be required as part of the application process. Travelers with one DUI incident over a year ago will be considered. Blocked scheduling will not be accommodated. Work history from previous employment must be assessed for rehire status approval.
