Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,106 per week in Alexandria, LA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Med-Surg Experience Ability to work as a Team Player Critical Thinking Skills Description: Candidates must have ACLS prior to consideration. The unit has a total of 36 beds with 49 staff members. Staffing on nights includes 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, 3 PCTs, and 1 secretary. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 6:1. Common equipment used includes IV pumps, Wound Vacs, SCD pumps, Telemetry, and PCA pumps. Typical procedures performed on this unit include wound care, IV insertions, and Foley catheter placements. Candidates with strong prioritization and time management skills will be preferred. The ideal candidate will be willing to work collaboratively within the team. Every other weekend shifts are expected. There may also be on-call duties when census is low.
