Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week (3x12)

Region 1 (Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children's Hospital – Pediatrics only, within scope of practice)
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced
Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry for a 13-week assignment in Charlotte, NC. This position is ideal for nurses who excel in a fast-paced acute care environment and are comfortable caring for a diverse medical and telemetry patient population across multiple inpatient units.
Travelers will be assigned a home unit during orientation but must be willing to float to other facilities within Region 1 as patient care needs arise.

Patient PopulationAssignments may include the following units:
ADTU: Medical/Telemetry overflow, CHF, COPD, Chest Pain, Stroke symptoms, Respiratory illnesses
Orthopedic Surgical Unit: Joint replacements, spinal surgeries, orthopedic procedures
Medical Telemetry: COPD, ESRD, Pancreatitis, Diabetic Ulcers, Altered Mental Status
Surgical Telemetry: Bariatric, Urology, GI Surgery, Post-Operative Care
Cardiac Medical Telemetry: CHF, Pulmonary Edema, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Hypertension, Endocarditis, Chest Pain
Medical Unit: ESRD, Sickle Cell, Diabetes, Behavioral Health, Detox, Observation Patients
Patient RatiosRN:
1:5–6 (Critical Surge up to 1:7–8)
CNA:
1:6–12 Required QualificationsActive RN License
Minimum
18 months of recent Med Surg/Telemetry RN experienceCurrent
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Experience with stroke care, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Strong IV skills including peripheral IV insertion
Required Clinical SkillsCardiac rhythm interpretation
Stroke patient care
Tracheostomy care
Chest tube management
NG tube placement
Foley catheter insertion and management
PEG tubes, Dobhoff tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, Flexiseal management
PCA pump management
Cardiac drips
Heparin infusions
Blood product administration
IV fluid management#TB_HC and #ZRHC
