Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced MedSurg/Telemetry setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding to abnormalities as needed
- Administer medications and follow treatment plans as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in line with facility policies
- Educate patients and families on ongoing care and discharge instructions
- Respond to emergencies in a calm, efficient manner
- Promote a supportive and compassionate environment for patients
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active North Carolina registered nurse license or compact state eligibility
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting
