Float Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

Seeking a dedicated Float Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate start. This position offers a 13-week contract with a flexible schedule that includes three 12-hour shifts during weekdays and the possibility of working up to two weekends per month.

Responsibilities

• Float between Stepdown and MedSurg units based on patient volume requirements.
• Provide direct patient care and ensure optimal health outcomes.
• Adapt quickly to varying patient acuity and unit protocols.
• Work holidays as specified within the contract, including willingness to participate in two of the three major holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Travel nursing experience of at least 2 years is required.
• Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS is mandatory.
• Proficient in EPIC EMR systems, with recent experience highly preferred.
• Must hold an active North Carolina or Multistate nursing license.
• All white or navy scrubs are required for this role.
• Must reside at least 40 miles from the facility for consideration.
• Must provide a valid driver's license for address verification.

Work Schedule

Flexible scheduling is essential, and requests for blocked schedules will be considered at the time of submission. Candidates must be very adaptable in terms of floating between units as needed.
