Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele or medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification completed before the start date
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse in the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation
• All required nursing licenses and certifications must be active and in hand before submission

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during overnight shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify and communicate changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established nursing standards
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate treatment and promote positive patient outcomes
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, responses to care, and changes in condition
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and maintain a calm, organized approach in a fast-paced hospital environment
