Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele or a closely related telemetry nursing specialty
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications in hand
• Willing to obtain NIHSS prior to start
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Must be able to meet all submission and compliance requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias and telemetry changes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and carry out patient care plans
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, document status, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to clinical standards and hospital protocols
• Support a safe, organized, and efficient patient care environment on the unit
• Follow all assignment-specific scheduling, onboarding, and compliance requirements
