Travel RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent Registered Nurse experience in medical-surgical telemetry
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification must be completed before the start date
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse in the applicable specialty
• Successful completion of required compliance screening and travel nursing onboarding activities
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, symptoms, and clinical changes, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards of care
• Complete thorough patient assessments, individualized care plans, clinical documentation, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including telemetry-related concerns
• Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered inpatient care environment
