Description:
Clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract.
If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, then they will be disqualified for 6 months.
Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or per diem with any facility associated in the past year.
Unit has 49 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.
Nurses are required to interpret strips and sign at least once a shift.
Nurse aides are present on the unit with a ratio of 1:10-15.
Nurses may float to other units if qualified.
Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Schedules are made out for 4 weeks using self-scheduling, but are finalized by management.
Weekend requirement is two weekends per 4-week schedule.
Holiday requirement involves working either two days and an evening or two evenings and a day during major holidays.
Unit utilizes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments.
Common diagnoses include CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI issues, diabetes, telemetry patients, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements.
Nurses are not required to titrate medication drips; only set-rate drips are administered.
Charge nurses and house supervisors are present on the unit.
Charting is conducted using Cerner.
No call or standby requirements.
Floating to an additional campus may occur.
