Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,146 per week in Marshalltown, IA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of Med Surg / Med Surg-Tele experience is required. License: Active nursing license in Iowa or compact/multistate Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - 24 months of current nursing experience - Experience with telemetry monitoring, including reading and measuring strips - Experience in orthopedic and general surgery care - EPIC charting experience is preferred - Drip experience with Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg/Telemetry specialty. The nurse will be responsible for the care of patients in a medical surgical setting. Ratios are 5:1 with a bed size of 16. Patient types include telemetry and post-operative surgical patients. The nurse will administer drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone. Weekend shifts are required every 3rd weekend, along with holiday rotation if scheduled. Professional references from within the last 24 months are preferred. The nurse must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Active engagement in patient care and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
