Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate-level care
• Proficiency with Epic charting required
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for adult patients on a Med-Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with orthopedic infections, musculoskeletal conditions, and wound care needs
• Perform IV starts and support ongoing vascular access care
• Manage patients requiring telemetry and intermediate-level monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support comprehensive patient care
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
• Support wound vac and Veriflo treatment as part of routine unit care
