Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse with strong cardiac monitoring and acute care skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an oncology-focused med/surg setting. You will care for patients with complex medical needs, including continuous telemetry monitoring, symptom management, and support during cancer-related treatment.

• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Floating: May be required to float to comparable med/surg oncology units as needed

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current acute care experience in the specialty required, with recent consistent experience within the last 12 months
• Epic charting experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education preferred/required per compliance standards
• Strong telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with ports, central line care, PICC line management, IV starts, blood product administration, and chest tube support
• Comfort with oncology-related care, symptom management, and infection prevention protocols
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team
• Must be able to meet credentialing requirements promptly

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize/report changes in patient condition quickly and accurately
• Provide symptom management and support for patients receiving oncology-related treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products according to policy and best practices
• Manage ports, central lines, and PICCs with precision and attention to infection prevention
• Support patients with respiratory and mobility needs while maintaining strong fall-prevention practices
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other care team members
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
• Float to equivalent or lower acuity units when needed based on patient care demands
• Promote a calm, organized, and patient-centered environment throughout every shift
