Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse on a medical/surgical/telemetry unit.
This role requires working the night shift.
The staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients.
The schedule consists of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week.
The census on the unit is typically 12 patients, with staffing adjustments based on patient load.
The electronic medical record system utilized is MedHost.
Duties include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
The nurse will be responsible for peripheral line care and oxygen administration.
The patient population consists of adults and geriatric patients.
Common diagnoses treated include pneumonia, shortness of breath, chest pain, fever, and post-operative care.
Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services and pharmacy.
This role may require weekend coverage.
