Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,200 per week in Neptune, NJ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a Med Surg/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required. License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. Certifications: NIHSS, Telemetry, BLS-AHA, CEU Contact Stroke (4 Hours) Must-Have: Strong Med Surg/Telemetry background Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on patient problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required. Three of the six holidays observed required. No on-call requirement. Floating required. Soft Skills Preferred: Great communication, teamwork, and a compassionate individual. Extremely busy environment with a patient assignment ratio of 1:4 or 1:5.
