Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,200 per week in O Fallon, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 7 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience - Experience with charting system - Experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) is preferred - Experience in Trauma Level I and II is preferred - Travel experience Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have experience with acutely ill medical-surgical patients transitioning from the ICU. Candidates must be proficient in telemetry monitoring and administering IV medications, including antiarrhythmic medications and heparin. Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. You will be expected to manage cardiac drips and vasoactive drips without titration. Phlebotomy and starting and maintaining IVs are essential. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE is necessary. Experience in rapid response and coordinating with code teams is required. Patient ratios for days and nights will be maintained at 1:4-5. Floating may be required within the service line.
