Travel RN – Med Surg / Tele Float | Centennial, CO | High-Demand Float Role

We are hiring experienced Med Surg / Telemetry RNs for a high-demand float pool assignment based out of Centennial, CO. This is an excellent opportunity for adaptable nurses who thrive in dynamic environments and want exposure to multiple specialties and facilities.

Position Details
  • Title: Travel RN – Med Surg / Tele Float
  • Location: Centennial, CO (80112)
  • Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Schedule: 6-week scheduling blocks
  • Weekend Requirement: 6–9 shifts per 6 weeks
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Radius Rule: 60 miles (Driver’s License required at submission)
⚠️ Float Requirement – Read Carefully
  • No Home Base Facility – this is a true float pool position
  • Must float within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs Region) across multiple facilities
  • Candidates must secure housing that allows travel within a 60-mile radius

Scheduling Format
  • Option A: Assigned to one facility for the week (with internal floating)
  • Option B (JIT – Just In Time): Facility assigned 1–2 hours before shift

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care across multiple Med Surg/Tele units
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms
  • Manage post-surgical and medical patients
  • Administer medications and titrate Heparin drips
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Float to PCU/Stepdown or ICU (low acuity holds) as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN License
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA required)
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior travel experience
  • Neuro experience highly preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR
Additional Information
  • Floating: Required across MS/Tele, PCU, and ICU (within scope)
  • Support Staff: CNAs available
  • Charge Nurse: Present on each shift
  • RT Equipment: Vents, BiPAP, CPAP available
  • Orientation: Must be in-state during orientation week
  • Call Requirement: Rare (low census)
  • Holiday Rotation: As needed
  • Scrub Color: Any color
