Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,218 per week in Flagstaff, AZ

ICU/PCU experience is preferred but strong MS/Telemetry experience will be considered. Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a flexible pool. The nurse will float between two Medical/Surgical/Telemetry units. The shift schedule is three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4 to 1:5. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Active, unrestricted nursing license is necessary. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required. No call duty is expected. The traveler will be required to float to areas where staffing is needed. Blocked scheduling may occur based on unit needs, but management will take preferences into account. Local candidates are welcome to apply. Requests for time off must be approved by unit management. Guaranteed hours per week will be a minimum of 36. There is a possibility of being called off work a limited number of times during the assignment. The traveler will encounter standard Medical/Surgical/Telemetry equipment. Each patient room is equipped with Liko lifts. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a teaching designation. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Daily census fluctuates depending on the unit the traveler is assigned to, generally between 20 and 28 patients. Interdisciplinary support is available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. All employees are expected to adhere to established quality and patient safety standards. All necessary compliance testing must be completed prior to assignment. Professional references are required prior to the start date. Candidates must be ready to work on designated holidays as pre-established by the facility. All modules will be completed during the first week of orientation, with tracked completion through LMS transcripts.
