Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview:

This role is for a Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse with a focus on providing high-quality care to adult medical patients within a 24-bed private room inpatient unit. The position requires a strong ability to read cardiac telemetry strips and to respond effectively to patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data.
• Provide nursing care to a patient population with various medical conditions.
• Engage in effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Participate in floating to other units as required.
• Cover rotating shifts to ensure patient care continuity.

Qualifications:

• Current and active Massachusetts RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in one location, or 2 years as a traveling nurse.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips is a must.

Work Environment:

The position involves working within a new 24-bed private room inpatient medical telemetry unit, with a clinician to patient ratio of 4 to 5 patients per RN.

Candidate must be prepared to work nights and weekends as part of a 36-hour work week, with flexibility to cover open shifts as needed.
