Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg/Telemetry

Position Information

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care during the night shift.

• Department: Med-Surg/Telemetry
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Floating: Must be able to float to all sister units as needed

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, SIGMA Spectrum Infusion System
• EMR systems: Omnicell, EPIC
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS & RN License
• Years of Experience: 2 years required
• Must Have Skills/Experience: Telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Common Diagnoses/Treatment: Total Hip, total knee, total shoulder, hip fracture, spine surgery, trauma surgery, general medical/surgical overflow

Additional Information

This position involves high-volume discharges and admissions daily, and familiarity with common medications, such as Hydromorphone PCA and Epidurals, is preferred.
