The role is for night shifts on a 12-hour schedule. The nurse will care for patients with various cardiac conditions, including congestive heart failure and post-cardiac interventions. The unit consists of 36 single-patient rooms. Nurses will be required to manage a patient load of 1:5 during night shifts. Weekend work may be required based on unit needs. Candidates should be familiar with charting systems. Special skills required include telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Additional support will be provided, but candidates should have prior experience in environments with flexible staffing ratios. Nurses will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Daily census is approximately 36 patients. Candidates may float to sister facilities as needed. There will be no on-call requirements for this position. The position offers a maximum of 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with certain blackout periods where approved time off may not be allowed. Candidates should be prepared to work various days during the week. Completion of all facility-specific modules is required within the first week of the assignment.
