Job Title: Med Surg/Telemetry Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience, previous travel experience of at least 3 months, charge RN experience required License: Vermont RN License or Compact Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: - Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle - Must float to any unit within scope of practice - All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission Description: Please do not apply if you are seeking to work in conjunction with another position. Do not apply if you will request schedule accommodations. May be asked to work as a backup charge nurse. Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 4 or 5. The average daily patient census is 22. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at application. Requests for time off after application will not be approved. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Local travelers, those residing within a specified distance of the facility, are not eligible for this position. This is a small community without public transport. Traveler candidates must have their own vehicle; this is a firm requirement. Perm address must be included in the traveler's profile. All scheduled requests must be made at the time of submission. The facility will not approve scheduling requests after the time of the offer. Call-offs must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance. After three call-offs, a traveler's contract may be eligible for termination.
