Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our nursing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Cardiac Telemetry and be able to handle patients with higher acuity needs. This role requires experience in managing a variety of patient diagnoses, including complex conditions such as CHF, ECOPD, NSTEMI, AfiB (new onset), arrythmias, sepsis, and renal failure/AKI.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a combined unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implement care plans, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Float to other areas of the specialty as required.
• Work every other weekend and assist with holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license in the state.
• BLS, CPI, and NIH certifications are required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required, with strong experience in Cardiac Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• First-time travelers with substantial relevant experience will be considered.

Shift Details

This position requires a commitment to 3x12-hour night shifts, from 19:00 to 07:30, totaling 36 hours per week.

Additional Information

The average daily census is approximately 30 patients, with a unit capacity of 30 beds. Scrub color is navy blue.
