The role involves providing care for patients receiving chemotherapy and managing symptom-related needs. A focus on continuous cardiac monitoring and infection prevention protocols is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage comorbidities and patient falls. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a variety of oncology diagnoses. Experience in oncology is preferred, though not required. Strong communication skills and teamwork within an interdisciplinary support environment are crucial. The nurse will be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed. Previous travel experience is preferred, along with proficiency in the EPIC charting system. Candidates must meet experience requirements from the past three years and have at least one year of current specialty experience. Timely completion of compliance requirements is necessary for onboarding.
