Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Tele Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years RN Experience Required License: Valid RN License Required Certifications: BCLS Required, ACLS Preferred, NIHSS Preferred, OCN Preferred Must-Have: EPIC Experience Required Oncology Experience Preferred Strong Skills in IV Starts and Telemetry Tracheostomy Management Experience Description: This position involves providing care for MedSurg and Telemetry patients. The Nurse may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every four weeks, but changes are not guaranteed. A minimum of two years of current acute care experience is required. Candidates must float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed. Experience in administering chemotherapy and managing dysrhythmias is preferred. Knowledge of infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention is essential. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics with a focus on oncology cases. The average daily census is 32 patients, with 36 beds available. Additional unit responsibilities include tracheostomy care and drain management. Candidates must provide two professional references, including at least one from a manager or supervisor. All candidates must be aware of the urgency in completing the credentialing process.
