Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,255 per week in Madison, WI

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day Shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Med/Surg/Telemetry License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS Required - AHA Only Must-Have: Experience starting IVs required EPIC experience required Telemetry test required prior to starting Description: This position involves 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed. Experience in starting IVs is required. An RN license and BLS certification by AHA are required. Candidates must have experience with telemetry and will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. The unit includes patients from various facilities, including those from correctional facilities. Staff will always be accompanied by an officer while assisting these patients. The patient population primarily consists of adult med/surg patients under Family Medicine service, with some geriatric patients. The unit may accommodate 0-10 correctional patients at any given time. Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed. Pass/Fail testing will be required, with a telemetry exam that must be passed with a score of 80% or higher. If not passed after two attempts, further training will be required before a third attempt. Failure to pass exam requirements may result in cancellation of the assignment.
