Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

Job Summary

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. The role involves providing patient care, performing assessments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift Details

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vital signs and address changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health management.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
• Participate in nursing team initiatives to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of recent, permanent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
• Active and valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certification required.
• MUST be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date.
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty required.

Additional Information

During orientation, candidates will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment, achieving acceptable scores on both assessments is required to ensure competency.

This position is structured to utilize the Qualivis – Lotus system for submitting hours worked.
