Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This is a night shift position requiring three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The role involves delivering high-quality care to patients in a medical/surgical telemetry setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and managing telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document patient care and progress in the medical record.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to formulate and evaluate care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of recent experience in a medical/surgical telemetry unit.
• Must possess an active Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date.
• A recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the nursing specialty applied for is mandatory. Charge RN references are acceptable.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required.
