Job Title: Charge Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience required. Charge experience required. Minimum of 3 months previous travel experience required. Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience strongly required. ICU experience strongly preferred. License: Active RN License (Vermont or Compact) Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: Must have experience with insulin drips, esmolol drips, and sodium drips. Charge experience is required. Traveler must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within their scope of practice. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. All requests for time off must be included in the profile. Description: This is an adaptive acuity unit. On occasion, travelers will be asked to provide PCU care (3:1 ratio). This care is non-negotiable and may not be refused. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5. The unit has 25 beds. Requests for time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at the time of submission. Requests after submission during the interview will not be approved. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Travelers should ensure that they can be reached and have a voicemail set up on their phones. Travelers without a voicemail set up will be redirected. Experience in small critical access facilities is preferred. Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need. Profile must include permanent address. All scheduling requests must be made prior to submission. The facility will not approve scheduling requests at or after the time of the offer. Obtaining this information prior to submission is required.
