Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,264 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday nights). Four weekend shifts per four-week schedule period.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit with diverse patient population including oncology, post-surgical, cardiac, respiratory, and medical patients
• Strong focus on advanced cardiac monitoring and telemetry with dysrhythmia interpretation
• Utilize critical care skills including IV insulin protocols and insulin drip management
• Specialized corrections unit setting requiring security clearance and badge access
• 13-week travel assignment with opportunity to gain experience in a unique care environment
• Float assignment within facility system as needed

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit or Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous telemetry experience with strong cardiac monitoring skills
• Demonstrated experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proficiency with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip management
• Experience with isolation precautions, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration
• Charting system experience required (experience with any EMR acceptable)
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (minimum one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge nurse acceptable for second reference)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
